R1SE is a non-profit association that initiates interdisciplinary projects in the fields of art, sports, education, and social engagement to promote integration and inclusion. As an umbrella organization, R1SE brings together various initiatives such as “Rap for Refugees” and is based in Hamburg.

At R1SE, we believe in the power of community and that together we can achieve more. Our vision is a society where diversity is celebrated as a strength, barriers are overcome, and every person has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Through our projects, we create spaces where people come together regardless of their background, empower each other, and grow together.
With a core team of 13 members and a growing network of volunteers, R1SE pursues the goal of providing opportunities to disadvantaged groups and empowering them to become self-sufficient.

ARTS & CULTURE
PILLAR 1
Creative forms of expression such as rap, graffiti, DJing, dance, and beatboxing bring people together and create spaces for exchange and development. In our workshops and events, we promote cultural exchange and give participants the opportunity to discover and develop their talents.
With projects such as “Rap for Refugees,” we not only offer artistic workshops, but also a platform to celebrate diversity and cohesion through music. Our own festivals, including the annual highlight in Hamburg, bring newcomers and established artists such as Disarstar, Booz, Ebow, Lia Şahin, Ace Tee, Mariybu, and many more to the stage. Together, we send a strong message of cultural diversity, empowerment, and cohesion.
SPORTS
PILLAR 2
R1SE promotes community, exercise, and integration through sports projects. We create meeting places for people from all walks of life through open activities such as soccer, traditional dance, and fitness for young and old.
Our qualified coaches and volunteers work in sports halls and residential accommodation to give everyone access to sporting activities. The aim is not only to promote physical fitness, but also to strengthen social participation by placing people in sports clubs and internships. In this way, sport becomes a tool for cohesion, equal opportunities, and social interaction.
PROMOTION OF VOLUNTEERING

R1SE strengthens volunteer work and creates platforms that motivate and empower volunteers. With projects such as the “I Made It Market,” we promote the exchange of knowledge and support people in developing and implementing their own social projects. Workshops, networks, and joint initiatives provide space for creativity, engagement, and innovation. Our goal is to strengthen the self-efficacy of participants and give them the feeling that they are actively contributing to society. This gives rise to new ideas, strong connections, and sustainable change—shaped by the community, for the community.
VOCATIONAL TRAINING
PILLAR 4
R1SE supports people in finding their way into education and careers, bridging the gap between job seekers and companies. With innovative projects such as the “P-ick App,” we offer practical guidance for career choices and simplify the application process—multilingual, user-friendly, and tailored to the needs of different target groups.
Our goal is to empower young people in particular by giving them the tools they need to shape their professional future with confidence. In this way, we create opportunities that promote individual potential and facilitate social integration.
PROMOTION OF VOLUNTEERING
PILOTPROJEKT
The R1SE - Social Innovation Hub is an innovative, non-profit space in a refugee shelter in Hamburg. The project combines a co-working space, educational and mentoring programs, a creative media room, and a cultural center. The aim is to offer residents a platform for self-realization and social participation while harnessing the potential of social enterprises and civil society.
The hub is built in modular containers that promote flexibility and sustainability. It is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is committed to long-term social impact. Your support can help make the R1SE Hub a vibrant place of social change and integration.
